  Wageningen PhD Symposium (WPS)

The Wageningen PhD Symposium (WPS) is an annual event organized by the Wageningen PhD Council at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands (WUR). The goal of WPS is to bring together young researchers from all disciplines to give insight on their research projects and to foster learning, inspiration, wonder, and ultimately, provoke scientific discussions that matter. WPS always has themes that are related to WUR's educational goals and research activities, and more specifically to the University’s mission in exploring the potential of nature to improve the quality of life.

The 5th Wageningen PhD Symposium (WPS 2018)

The 5th Wageningen PhD Symposium (WPS 2018) takes place on the 17th of May, 2018. This year, the symposium presents the theme of ‘ Bridging Science and Society: Unifying Knowledge ’, which includes three relevant sub-themes:

These sub-themes are displayed for presentation sessions and round-table discussions. WPS 2018 aims to cover a wide range of research topics that can ultimately bring students into common discussions on how they, as scientists, can interact with and contribute to the society.
